Getting a working speedo will probably require some innovative mix and match, and will vary depending on whether mechanical or electric. An S10 has the front edge of the shifter box dead even with the back edge of the main case. The Astro van T5 has the front edge of the shifter box about 2.25" further back.

The T5 shifts fine in all gears including reverse. However, its hard to shift back out of reverse and in to neutral. It binds with S10 top cover with S10 shift forks. Tried two different ones.

(S-10 shifter is in a similar location to what you already have.)
