WebIt's definitely a sound that moves, and it frequently happens when I'm not moving at all. It sounds like sand in a plastic pipe traveling down from the back of my head to just below the base of my skull roughly. It lasts 3 or 4 seconds then stops. Like something draining as others have said. I've found no medical literature on it at all though.
